About this piece
Most Islamic wall art sold online is printed on paper or cut by machine overseas, then shipped flat in a tube. Machine work has uniform edge depth and identical kerf marks throughout. Hand-carving does not, and that variation is what gives the letters their shadow.
This piece is drawn out by hand onto the board and cut in relief, so the script stands off the surface. Two pieces of the same verse are never identical – the grain runs where it wants to, and we carve around it.
Care
Dust with a dry or barely damp cloth along the grain. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from radiators. Full care guide.
